Security Ties Stronger Than Ever

Andrew Shapiro, the Assistant Secretary of Political-Military Affairs, recently said that the security relationship between the United States and Israel is, "broader, deeper and more intense than ever before." Shapiro also stated that the U.S. is "fully committed to Israel's security because it enhances our own national security and because it helps Israel to take the steps necessary for peace." The speech covered a wide-range of topics including: the dangerous threats that the Jewish state is facing from Hizballah, Hamas and Iran, the strategic partnership between the U.S. and Israel, and America's commitment to Israel's security.
